PA IPL encourages you to take action now to reduce your carbon footprint.  Calculate your own carbon footprint, see if your congregation is “cool;” and write to your representatives.  PA IPL also sponsors regular events around the state; go to our Facebook page to suggest a future event or volunteer your time and/or talent (you must sign up to use certain features).

The first step in reducing your contribution to climate change is a good accounting of how much CO2 you are producing.  For individuals, gather your utility bills together and try this simple carbon calculator —it takes about 15 minutes and includes great ideas of ways to save energy. For congregations, use Interfaith Power & Light’s Cool Congregations calculator. Did that already? Check out our top 10 list and start reducing now!

PA IPL has members all over Pennsylvania working on local projects. Join us and become part of our network. We welcome both individual and congregational members.

The political situation in Washington is bleak, but we can still influence key decisions. Currently, we are focusing on supporting the EPA to regulate harmful industrial carbon pollution. Use this link to register your comments, or call or email your representative, telling them to let the EPA keep protecting our environment. Not sure of the address? Click here.
